About Scaler Marketing
Scaler Marketing is a growth and web development agency that builds high-performance websites and web-ecosystems for growing brands. We're a tight-knit, 12-person remote team that punches well above our weight—delivering results that rival (and often outperform) agencies charging 2–3x our rates. We work on enterprise-level projects, and we build long-term partnerships with clients through ongoing maintenance and growth retainers.
Our Scaler Metrics service — ongoing SEO, content, and growth work for retained clients — is one of the fastest-growing parts of the business. Great strategy is already in place. What we need now is someone to make sure the work actually ships.
The Opportunity
This role exists because the bottleneck in content work is rarely the strategy or the writing — it's the back-and-forth. Briefs sit in clients' inboxes. Approvals stall. Drafts pile up waiting for one missing quote, one logo, one sign-off. You're the person who refuses to let that happen.
You'll take our Head of Growth's content strategy documents — keyword plans, content briefs, editorial calendars — and run them all the way to finished, published content on client sites. That means writing and editing, yes, but it also means owning the operational machinery: chasing inputs, managing review cycles, hitting publish dates, and giving clients zero room to let things drift.
You'll also help shape Scaler's own voice — blog posts, social content, and internal marketing — so this is a role with real range. Some days you'll be deep in a client's industry, ghostwriting a thought leadership piece. Other days you'll be planning our LinkedIn content or QA-ing a batch of SEO pages before they go live.
Why Scaler
- Real ownership: Content production at Scaler is yours to own and improve. You'll define the process, not inherit a broken one.
- Quality you can stand behind: We don't publish filler. Our strategy team builds genuinely smart content plans, and you'll get to finish the work properly.
- Direct access to leadership: You'll work closely with our Head of Growth, co-founders, and the strategy team. No layers, no committees.
- Remote, anywhere: Work from wherever you do your best thinking. We're a fully distributed team that values output over hours.
- Range: Client work, internal marketing, social, long-form, short-form. If you get bored doing the same thing twice, this is a good fit.
Compensation & Benefits
Competitive salary commensurate with experience. Full details discussed during the interview process.
Content Production & Editorial
- Take strategy documents and content briefs from our Head of Growth and turn them into finished, on-brand, publish-ready content
- Write, edit, and polish blog posts, landing pages, service pages, case studies, and SEO-driven articles for client sites
- Adapt voice and tone fluidly across industries — life sciences one day, industrial equipment the next
- QA every piece before it ships: brand voice, factual accuracy, SEO hygiene, links, formatting, CMS rendering
- Manage the editorial calendar across multiple Scaler Metrics retainers so nothing slips
Client Success & Account Operations
- Own day-to-day content communication with Scaler Metrics clients — briefs out, drafts in, approvals locked
- Run review cycles with discipline: clear deadlines, clear asks, clear consequences when things stall
- Keep clients accountable for their inputs (interviews, quotes, approvals, assets) without damaging the relationship
- Be the friendly, organized face clients want to hear from — and the operator who quietly makes sure their content actually ships
- Surface risks early: if a deliverable is at risk, flag it to the team and the client before it becomes a problem
Internal Marketing & Scaler's Own Content
- Plan and execute Scaler's own content calendar: blog posts, LinkedIn content, newsletter, and supporting social
- Translate the team's expertise — case studies, project wins, industry POVs — into content that builds Scaler's brand
- Collaborate with the design team on visual assets for posts and campaigns
- Support tradeshow and campaign content needs as they come up
Process & Systems
- Build and maintain a repeatable production workflow in ClickUp from brief → draft → review → approval → publish
- Track content status and capacity across clients so the team has real visibility into the pipeline
- Document and improve the content production process over time — templates, checklists, SLAs, handoff rituals
- Partner with the Head of Growth on what's working, what isn't, and where we should sharpen the system
Required
- 3–5 years of experience in content marketing, content production, or client-facing account management — ideally at an agency or in-house at a marketing team
- Strong writing and editing portfolio across formats (blog, web copy, social, long-form)
- Demonstrated ability to take a brief or strategy doc and turn it into finished, polished content
- Operator instincts: you build systems, hit deadlines, and refuse to let work stall in someone else's inbox
- Excellent client communication — warm, professional, and direct enough to push back when needed
- Comfortable juggling multiple clients and projects simultaneously without losing track of details
- Self-starter who thrives in a fully remote, async-first environment
Preferred
- Agency experience, especially with retainer-based content or SEO services
- Background writing for technical or specialized industries (science, technology, industrial, B2B)
- SEO fundamentals: keyword research, on-page optimization, content briefs, internal linking
- Experience working from a content strategist's briefs (vs. inventing strategy from scratch)
- Familiarity with Webflow CMS or similar headless/visual CMS platforms
- Light design sensibility — you can spec image needs, write good alt text, and spot when a layout is off

- Webflow — the CMS we publish most client content on
